DIY AI - Build Your Own ChatGPT and Speech Models by Miriam Dissen & Gal Hever

** Note: The event will be conducted in English. All genders are welcome!

In today’s world, it has never been easier to build AI-based projects. You can start a passion-driven side project or even launch a new venture; sometimes without any coding required.

This webinar will guide you through various examples and case studies, providing you with the tools to start building your own ChatGPT or develop new speech models by mastering the art of sound. Our aim is to spark your creative mind and motivate you to get your hands dirty by building your own projects that solve real-life problems, or simply make your life easier with the endless possibilities AI has brought upon us.

Agenda:

20:30 - 20:40 (GMT+2) Opening Notes - Moran Weber, CEO & Founder of Women on Stage

20:40 - 21:20 (GMT+2) Miriam Dissen: Build Your Own ChatGPT - Developing a Nonviolent Communication Chatbot

21:20 - 22:00 (GMT+2) Gal Hever: DIY AI - Building Your Own Speech Models

Build Your Own ChatGPT - Developing a Nonviolent Communication Chatbot

Many artificial intelligence capabilities are now accessible to anyone looking to create personalized applications. In this talk, I will share my experience of building a custom ChatGPT trainer for Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a method for fostering empathy and understanding.

I’ll introduce key concepts in Large Language Models (LLMs), such as In-Context Learning and Fine-Tuning, and explain how I leveraged ChatGPT’s capabilities to create a virtual coach. Through prompt engineering and by incorporating foundational NVC texts, the model became a helpful guide for emotional communication and conflict solutions.

This talk demonstrates how accessible it is to use AI in creative ways to build tools for personal or professional purposes. By learning the basics of ChatGPT customization, you too can create impactful AI solutions tailored to your needs.

Miriam Dissen, Data Scientist, Neuroscience Researcher:

Data Scientist and Algorithms Developer, PhD candidate in Neuroscience.

Co-founder of the Brainstorm Neurotechnology Community and founder of the HarifTech Community.

DIY AI - Building Your Own Speech Models

In the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, speech recognition models are transforming the way we interact with technology. In this talk, I will expose an insightful overview of the underlying mechanics of speech recognition, exploring the key components that compose these systems and the art of sound.

I will present a few cutting-edge, no-code platforms that will allow you to create your own speech recognition models in real time, ensuring that everyone leaves with actionable insights and the confidence to innovate afterwards. Join us to discover how accessible AI can be and unlock new possibilities in your existing and future projects!

Gal Hever, Data Scientist, Founder:

Gal holds a MSc. in Data Science from Ben Gurion University. She is the founder of the DataNights program aimed at increasing the presence of women in Data science, and Tech7Juniors for promoting young entrepreneurs in the tech industry in the Negev.

In the last couple of years, Gal has worked on several projects aimed to be the first milestone in their development, such as Speech-To-Text system for several languages. Other projects focused on developing StepNet, a Neural Network that identifies the amount of people in a room by sound classification and Wakeword,  Speaker Verification models based on emergency and personal distress scenarios.
