“Stories never really end...even if the books like to pretend they do. Stories always go on. They don't end on the last page, any more than they begin on the first page.”
Cornelia Funke

Children love hearing stories and reading books. We all loved stories as children, But how much do we pay attention to gender messages hidden between their pages? These implicit yet strong messages are affecting our brains' affecting who our children will be as girls and boys, and as men and women.

In this lecture, Tal Breier Ben Moha teaches a unique and simple method (the Manhiguta Index), developed by her, to expose these hidden messages. This method will teach you how to more wisely choose books for your kids, how to identify gender biases in literature and culture And will make our quality time "Equality Time".

How do hidden gender messages we receive as children influence our behavior and choices as adults?
Who are the exemplary figures to whom we were exposed as children that shape our thoughts and how can we teach our children about inspirational figures of women leaders? How does literature reinforce stereotypes and also structure them at the same time and how do we know to recognize equal, non biased, literature? Between the book "Pretzels" and "The Paper Bag Princess" in an experiential and fascinating way, we will learn the"Manhigut index" and other practical tools for change and find out how we can develop an equal future.
