In my talk, I'll dive into the fascinating world of Microbiome and show how I used data science to answer some interesting questions in this new and important field. What is Microbiome? Can microbial composition in an organ be used to predict illness severity? And how can machine learning be used to gain biological insights? All those, and more, will be covered in this talk.

Ever stared at a raw, numeric dataset, knowing there are some interesting insights in it, maybe even a story, but not sure how to extract them'? then this talk is for you. In this session, I will present my analysis of a UN dataset regarding female representation in parliaments worldwide during the past three decades. Through the presentation, I will share my insights on the entire process from choosing a dataset to visualizing it, completing the story with qualitative facts, and publishing. Eventually, some practical advice on how to perform similar tasks will be given. This talk is for you if you-
- Strive to sharpen your EDA (exploratory data analysis) skills.
- Want to learn how to tell stories with data but don't know where to start.
- Like to go 'behind the scenes' of one interesting data story.
