Liad Amsalem is a tech lead at Healthy.io for over 6 years. As part of her role, she has taken part in building the first smartphone-enabled urinalysis platform as well as bootstrapping and leading the development of the company’s wound management product. As a tech lead, Liad manages a multidisciplinary team of developers and upholds a high standard required from a healthcare development team. As a senior backend developer, she mentors developers on best practices, architecture, and site reliability.

Liad is an IDC graduate, served as a mentor in the Django Girls program and when she isn’t saving the world from horrific coding conventions, she’s applying those incredibly high standards to her cooking. She's also quite the sports junkie (to offset those calories somehow ;)).

If you suffer from sleepless nights or worry that your customers don’t get the best experience from your system this talk is for you!
As a tech lead and principal developer in a healthcare company, I experienced inefficient monitoring firsthand.
Monitoring is often treated as an afterthought, while it should be one of the most important aspects of a production system.
We are going to discuss the benefits of investing in proper monitoring planning and how to be proactive about problems in a system to ensure a good night’s sleep ;)
