Virtual leadership may be called e-leadership, remote leadership or long distance leadership. Most leaders don’t feel like they are leading at all. For those interested in human to computer communication, these are interesting times.

Most leadership challenges – trust, communication, time and diversity – are accentuated in a remote setting. Trust must be built not only with the team, but also with the technology systems being used to communicate, and to measure productivity.

Built on both lived experience as an executive of a remote-first company as well as practices rooted in the most recent research on remote work and remote leadership, this talk will bring your organization to the next level in your remote work practices and inspire what is possible. This talk is suitable both as a keynote on the Future of Work as well as targeted to specific teams, department or organizations looking for actionable advice on best-remote-work-practices. Jessica mixes humour and wit with deep expertise and competence in a unique way to deliver this inspiring talk on what remote work could and should be like.
