Dana owns open source at Qodo globally, shaping the company's open source strategy and driving its presence across the developer world. As Qodo's Community Manager, she has turned open source into a core pillar of how Qodo engages with engineers everywhere — leading the company's global open source flow from the ground up.
A recognized leader in the space, Dana is a past CNCF Ambassador and a GitHub Star, honored for her impact on open source communities worldwide. She founded and leads a local GitHub User Group, bringing developers together to learn, collaborate, and grow, and she maintains PR-Agent, an open source project that brings GenAI into the pull request workflow to help developers ship better code, faster.
Dana's mission is to build free, global communities where open source thrives — mentoring maintainers, growing contributor networks, and bridging enterprise engineering with the open source world.

Stars, forks and prs: How to Actually scale your Open Source Community
Let's say you recently launched your OSS project, and it felt amazing - stars coming in, users even opening issues. Then reality hits: you don't have enough maintainers to close them. This phase is where most projects get stuck, stall, and quietly die.
I'll cover how to scale a project: turning a "good first issue" into a real pipeline instead of a graveyard; building a core team that can say no without you; and deciding whether to contribute it to a foundation or corporate sponsor or contribute it to the community and let it grow naturally. Lessons from projects that made the jump, and from those that got stuck.
