I am a professor and researcher at the University of Minnesota with expertise in the emerging field of Learning Technologies. I enjoy helping others think about and better understand the different ways we live and learn with technology today in what I refer to as a "digital culture." My work is informed by learning science, and I use this as a lens to help teach others about the potential and possibilities of tech to be a more effective source for good in our personal and professional productivity. I am available to speak about digital culture, digital literacy and leadership, teaching and learning with technology in higher education, emerging developments in educational uses of generative AI (artificial intelligence), and international initiatives in online and distance education. I welcome opportunities for speaking engagements or leading professional development workshops for large and small groups. I have 25 years of experience in my areas of expertise, and I have consulted and collaborated with professionals, organizations, and academic institutions across North and South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia.
